Why it Matters
For the last 50 years, our Dial-a-Ride program has been more than just transportation, it’s a lifeline to those who don’t have reliable transportation. Every month, we provide over 1,000 essential rides to seniors and people with disabilities, connecting them to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores and other vital daily activities.
In the past year alone, we’ve seen a 22% increase in total rides and a 7% increase in new rides. With the senior population growing at the Beaches, the need for this service will only rise in the years ahead. The Endowment Fund is how we can make sure no one is left behind.
What is an Endowment Fund?
Unlike annual donations that are spent immediately, gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested for the future. The principle of your gift remains intact, which means the earnings will be used to support our programs during an economic downturn or natural disaster. Your generosity enables seniors access to care, reducing isolation, and keeping the wheel of independence turning for generations to come. Beaches Council on Aging is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN #58-2085222), and every gift to our Endowment Fund is tax-deductible. Every gift, large or small, leaves a legacy of love.
There are many ways to contribute to our Endowment Fund:
