Dial-a-Ride’s mission is to promote the health and social engagement of homebound senior and disabled persons living in Jacksonville’s beach communities by providing personal and affordable transportation.
WHY WE DO IT
Transportation is recognized as a key element in the senior population’s ability to “age-in-place,” living safely in the homes and neighborhoods that they love. Additionally, an individual’s overall health is not limited to the physical. Engaging in social, spiritual, educational and cultural activities are key to one’s overall health and well being. This makes Dial-a-Ride a critical link for our senior community.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE FOR A RIDE TO MY DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT?
Up to a month before the appointment and no later than two to three business days, call us at 904.246.1477 ext. 1 to schedule a ride. Date and time of ride are subject to availability, and must be confirmed by Dial-a-Ride staff.
WILL YOU COME TO MY RESIDENCE TO PICK ME UP?
Yes. If you live within our Beaches service area, we will pick you up at and take you back to your residence.
DOES IT COST ANYTHING FOR ME TO RIDE?
A $5 donation is requested per trip but no rider is turned away. We rely on donations from individuals and sponsors to offset transportation costs.
CAN YOU TRANSPORT WHEELCHAIRS?
Yes. Our bus has a wheelchair lift. Please let us know when you call to make an appointment.
CAN YOU TAKE ME ANYWHERE OTHER THAN MY DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT?
YES, we will take you anywhere you wish to go in the Beaches area from Mayport all the way through Ponte Vedra Beach and across to Mayo Clinic.
