Beaches Council on Aging is always looking for compassionate volunteers to participate in our Friendly Caller Program through the Beaches Senior Network.

Some older adults experience loneliness or isolation, especially if they live alone or have limited mobility. Friendly callers spend just an hour or two each week making supportive wellness calls to seniors, providing conversation, encouragement, and a caring connection.

It’s a simple way to brighten someone’s day while helping them feel seen, heard, and supported.

3. Invest in the Future Through the Endowment Fund

The Beaches Council on Aging Endowment Fund helps ensure Dial-A-Ride will continue serving seniors for generations to come.

Unlike annual donations that support immediate needs, gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested for the future. The principal remains intact while earnings help sustain programs during economic downturns, emergencies, or times of increased community need.

Today, Dial-A-Ride provides more than 1,000 rides every month, connecting seniors and individuals with disabilities to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, and social activities.

Demand continues to grow. Over the past year alone, the program experienced a 22% increase in total rides and a 7% increase in new riders, making long-term sustainability more important than ever.

Our goal is to build a $1 million Endowment Fund to help ensure no senior is left behind.

When you contribute, you also become part of the Wheels of Hope Society, a community of supporters committed to preserving independence for future generations.
